¨ On
5 October, Rajasthan’s first ‘Namo Biodiversity Park’ was inaugurated by Union
Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav at Pratap Bandh in Alwar.
¨
The park, also known as ‘Namo Van’, has
been envisioned as a vital green lung for the Alwar region.
¨
A symbolic tree plantation ceremony was
organized during the inauguration event.
¨
The park aims to enhance greenery, purify
the air, and spread environmental awareness among visitors.
¨
Yadav said that the park would not only
enhance greenery and purify the air in Alwar but also inspire visitors of ‘Namo
Van’ to embrace an eco-friendly lifestyle.
¨
The initiative has been designed to serve
as both an ecological project and a community awareness platform.
¨
It is expected that the park will
significantly contribute to biodiversity conservation efforts in Rajasthan.
¨ The
park’s establishment aligns with the Government’s broader ‘Green India’ vision
and climate action goals.
This model project will encourage the development of similar biodiversity parks across the state.
