¨     Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced initiatives of over ₹62,000 crore.

¨     The funds will support nationwide initiatives to boost youth education, skill development, and entrepreneurship.

¨     The Kaushal Deekshant Samaroh event was held at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi.

¨     At the event, the Prime Minister launched the Pradhan Mantri Skilling and Employability Transformation through Upgraded ITIs (PM–SETU) scheme.

¨     This initiative aims to modernize and upgrade Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) across the country.

¨     The Prime Minister called ITIs not just training centers but also vital to achieving Aatmanirbhar Bharat.

¨     Over 1,000 ITIs will be upgraded under PM–SETU.

¨     These institutions will be equipped with advanced machines and infrastructure.

¨     Modi paid tribute to Bharat Ratna Karpoori Thakur.

¨     He announced that a skill university will be established in Thakur's name.

¨     The Prime Minister also spoke about the ongoing GST Bachat Utsav.

¨     Modi inaugurated 1,200 Vocational Skill Labs across the country.

¨     These labs have been set up in 400 Navodaya Vidyalayas and 200 Eklavya Model Residential Schools.

¨     They are spread across 34 states and union territories.

¨     He also relaunched Bihar’s Mukhyamantri Nishchay Svyam Sahayata Bhatta Yojana.

¨     The scheme offers ₹1,000 per month for two years to five lakh graduate youth every year.

¨     It also provides free skill training alongside the allowance.

¨     Modi felicitated 46 top-performing students from ITIs. These students were recognized by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

¨     Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar attended the event virtually.
