- Spain secured their first ever Women’s World Cup title with a 1-0 win over England at the 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup final in Sydney.
- The Spanish team has become the fifth team to win the Women’s FIFA World Cup. Prior to this, the United States has won the Women’s FIFA World Cup title four times, Germany twice, Norway and Japan once each.
