- DRDO successfully conducted maiden test flight of Long Range Glide Bomb (LRGB), GAURAV.
- The successful maiden test flight was conducted from Sukhoi-30 MK-I of the Indian Air Force.
- The test was carried out off the coast of Odisha. GAURAV is an air-launched glide bomb.
- It is one thousand-kilogram class glide bomb. It is capable of reaching and hitting targets at long distances.
- Research Centre Imarat, Hyderabad has been designed and developed it indigenously.
- At the time of the flight test, the target was erected at Long Wheeler’s island. The glide bomb hit the target with pinpoint accuracy.
