The 30th meeting of the Working Mechanism for Consultation and Coordination on India-China Border Affairs (WMCC) was organised in New Delhi on 31st July 2024.
In the meeting, Indian delegation was led by Joint Secretary (East Asia) of the Ministry of External Affairs, Gourangalal Das.
Director General of the Boundary and Oceanic Department of the Chinese Foreign Affairs Ministry, Hong Liang led the Chinese delegation.
The current situation along the Line of Actual Control (LAC) was reviewed by the two side with a view to finding an early resolution of the outstanding issues.
The 29th WMCC meeting was organised on 27 March 2024 in Beijing.
India and China hold Corps Commander level and the WMCC talks under efforts to resolve the stand-off along the LAC in eastern Ladakh.
The 21st round of Corps Commander talks were held in February.
