India’s Kush Maini won his first Formula 2 sprint race at the Hungarian Grand Prix.
On July 21, Kush Maini recorded his maiden win in the International Automobile Federation (FIA) Formula 2 Championship, becoming the second Indian to achieve the feat.
The 23-year-old Indian driver inherited the position from Richard Verschoor, who was disqualified after the race for a technical infringement.
The 23-year-old Invicta Racing driver added 10 points to her season tally after topping the podium.
With victory at the Hungaroring on July 20, Maini overtook Mercedes junior driver Kimi Antonelli in the Formula 2 drivers’ standings to move to P8 with 66 points.
