  • Bangladesh officially joined the Colombo Security Conclave as the fifth full member country during the 8th Deputy National Security Advisor (DNSA) level meeting of the Colombo Security Conclave (CSC). Bangladesh previously had observer country status at the Colombo Security Conclave.
  • Currently, the full member countries of the Colombo Security Conclave are Bangladesh, India, Mauritius, Maldives and Sri Lanka.
  • Seychelles has observer country status at the Colombo Security Conclave.

Colombo Security Conclave

  • The Colombo Security Dialogue is a security-focused group of countries in the Indian Ocean.
  • Its origins lie in the 2011 India-Sri Lanka-Maldives Maritime Security Dialogue.
  • In 2020, the group was renamed the Colombo Security Conclave.
  • Mauritius was made the fourth member of the Colombo Security Conclave.
