Teams participated in T20 World Cup for the first time
1. Uganda team
- The Ugandan team was seen playing the T20 World Cup for the first time.The team defeated Rwanda by 9 wickets and secured a place in the top-2 positions in the T20 World Cup Africa Qualifier. Due to this, Uganda was able to qualify for the T20 World Cup.
2. Canada
- The Canadian team is at number two on the list, who played the ODI World Cup, but this will be the first time that they will participate in the mega event of the shortest format of cricket. The Canadian team’s first match was against America. The Canadian team has been placed in Group A, which also includes teams from India, Pakistan, America and Ireland.
3. America

- The first Super Over in the ECC Men’s T20 World Cup 2024 was played between two Group C teams, Namibia and Oman, in which both teams scored 109 runs.
- In the Super Over, Vise (13 runs in 4 balls) and Erasmus (8 runs in 2 balls) showed their skills with the bat and Namibia scored 21 runs. During Oman’s Super Over, Vise once again showed his magic with the ball and took one wicket for 10 runs.
