  • It is a significant step towards advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • It aims to provide an overview of the additive manufacturing (AM) ecosystem in India.
  • This is built on the National Strategy for Additive Manufacturing (NSAM), released in 2022.
  • It aims to harness the full potential of this transformational technology to promote industrial development, innovation and inclusive growth.
  • At present, seven centres dedicated to AM technologies are operational.
  • Industry associations like ELCINA and ICEA, government ministries, and state representatives from diverse stakeholders participated in the NAMS-2024.
