- This vaccine is manufactured by South Korea-based EuBiologics Co., Ltd.
- WHO prequalification list already includes Euvichol and Euvichol-Plus inactivated oral cholera vaccines produced by EuBiologicals Co., Ltd.
- In 2022, 473,000 cholera cases were reported, double from 2021.
- EuBiologics is the largest supplier of oral cholera vaccines in the world.
- Cholera is an acute diarrhoeal disease that is caused by the bacterium Vibrio cholerae.
