Chris gayle

  • The first double century in ODI World Cup history was scored by Chris Gayle in the year 2015. Gayle played an innings of 215 runs in the 15th match of the tournament against Zimbabwe. During his innings, Gayle hit 10 fours and 16 sixes.

Martin guptill

  • Gayle’s second World Cup double century came just a few days after his double century against Zimbabwe. Guptill played an unbeaten inning of 237 runs against West Indies. During his innings, Guptill hit 24 fours and 11 sixes.

Glen Maxwell

  • Glenn Maxwell scored a double century during a marathon innings against Afghanistan in Mumbai. This was also the fastest double century of the World Cup. Maxwell led Australia to victory with the help of 21 fours and 10 brilliant sixes.
