  • Nobel Prize in Literature announced Norwegian writer John Fosse has been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature 2023 for his plays and prose.
  • This year’s literary prize winner John Fosse writes novels in a style known as ‘Fosse Minimalism’. This can be seen in his second novel ‘Stanged Guitar’ (1985).
  • The Nobel Prize for Literature for the year 2022 was given to French writer Anne Arnoux. Annie was born on 1 September 1940. She is a French writer and literature professor. His literary work is mostly autobiographical, based on sociology.
  • John Fosse, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, is also a poet.
  • Fosse, 64, used the least common language in Norway’s two official versions.
