India ranked 52nd Out of 121 countries in the Digital Quality of Life Index survey.
India jumped seven places in the Digital Quality of Life Index survey. Last year, India’s rank was 59th.
The survey has been carried out by cybersecurity firm Surfshark.
The survey has ranked countries based on five factors: internet quality, internet affordability, e-infrastructure, e-government and e-security.
India’s rank has improved due to the improvement in internet quality in the country.
In terms of internet quality, India ranks 16th among 121 countries and in the 91st position in terms of e-infrastructure.
India is in 28th, 25th and 66th positions respectively, in internet affordability, e-governance and e-security.
The survey has placed Singapore and Saudi Arabia in top positions. The average internet speed in Singapore and Saudi Arabia stands at 300 Mbps and 310 Mbps respectively.
Internet in India is not the fastest but it is highly stable. The survey shows that India has better internet affordability.
