Ramon Magsaysay Award
- The Ramon Magsaysay Award was established in 1957 in memory of Ramon Magsaysay, the seventh President of the Philippines, to honor good work in governance or social reforms in Asia.
- Along with the Philippines government, the Rockefeller Society also contributed to the establishment of this award. The Rockefeller Society is located in New York City, America.
- It is also called the Nobel Prize of Asia.
- Over more than six decades, the award has been presented to 344 outstanding individuals and organizations whose selfless service to their societies, Asia and the world has provided successful solutions to some of the most difficult problems of human development.
