  • The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has been included in the prestigious World Book of Records in London.
  • It is recognized as the largest tulip garden in Asia. The people of Kashmir have expressed happiness over this.
  • Nestled amidst the picturesque foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range, the garden houses 1.5 million flowers of 68 distinct tulip varieties.
  • Santosh Shukla, President and CEO, World Book of Records, handed over the certificate to Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, Commissioner Secretary, Floriculture Gardens and Parks, at a formal ceremony held at Tulip Garden.
  • During this, Dilip N Pandit, Editor of World Book of Records, Director of Floriculture Kashmir was also present.
