- International Championship of Handball (IHF) Trophy Men’s Youth and Junior (Continental Phase – Asia) has begun.
- It has begun in Lucknow for the first time in the KD Singh Babu Stadium.
- Four countries are participating in the tournament. They are Bangladesh, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and India.
- On the first day, Kazakhstan won over Bangladesh in youth & junior categories.
- India played against Uzbekistan in youth & junior categories on first day.
- This is a qualification tournament. Its winner will qualify for the world championship.
