  • This coalition will consist of Fianna Fáil, its rival Fine Gael, and independent lawmakers.
  • Independent lawmakers will replace the Green Party. The elections were held in November.
  • Martin earlier served as prime minister from 2020 to 2022.
  • According to the agreement, Fine Gael’s Simon Harris will take over as prime minister in 2027.
  • Harris will initially replace Martin as deputy prime minister.
