Medical Textiles Quality Control Order, 2024 has been issued by the Ministry of Textiles.
The purpose of the Medical Textiles Quality Control Order, 2024, is to guarantee the effectiveness and safety of the essential items that fall under the category of medical textiles.
The order establishes strict quality criteria for these products, including labelling specifications and testing procedures.
The ministry has given the small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) sector an additional extension until April 1, 2025, to comply with the Quality Control Order.
A six-month transition period, ending on June 30th, has been given to manufacturers and importers to get rid of their current legacy inventories.
The industry will be able to adapt to the new quality standards with minimal interruption due to this provision.
