2nd BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting begins in New Delhi on 11 July
S. Jaishankar will host his BIMSTEC counterparts at the event on July 11-12, 2024.
The first BIMSTEC Foreign Ministers’ Meeting was held in Bangkok, Thailand in 2023.
Foreign Ministers of BIMSTEC countries discussed ways to broaden and deepen cooperation in various fields in the areas of security, connectivity, trade and investment, people-to-people contacts, etc.
BIMSTEC is a group of seven South and Southeast Asian countries for multifaceted cooperation.
BIMSTEC comprises seven countries – Bangladesh, Bhutan, India, Myanmar, Nepal, Sri Lanka and Thailand.
