In FY24, Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions worth ₹199 lakh crore were processed.
The Unified Payments Interface (UPI) transactions touched new records during March 2024.
This record transaction dipped slightly in February 2024 due to increased investment activity ahead of the financial year-end.
A lot of transactions closer to the daily limit of Rs 1 lakh were witnessed in March.
In FY23, the volume of UPI transactions was 55% higher. The On-year growth in UPI transactions remained over 40 per cent for the value of transactions.
In FY24, the UPI platform processed 13,115 transactions while 8376 transactions worth Rs139 lakh crore occurred in FY23.
During FY24, the volume of transactions was up 56.6 per cent whereas the value of transactions was 43.4 per cent higher.
UPI transactions are likely to cross 100 crore transactions per day by FY27.
