Maharashtra cabinet approved an export promotion policy to boost exports.
This is the first export promotion policy of Maharashtra. The policy will be implemented till 2027-28.
It will generate an investment of about Rs. 25 thousand crores in Maharashtra.
It will benefit about 5000 industries in the state and help increase the exports of Maharashtra by up to 14%.
The policy includes the establishment of export centers at the district level by promoting export-oriented industries.
In the cabinet meeting, a decision was also taken to appoint an empowered committee under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister to implement the scheme for the upliftment of Dhangar society.
The cabinet has also taken a decision to establish modern Orange processing centers at 5 places in Vidarbha.
A decision has also been taken for the establishment of an authority to increase the number of high-yielding milch animals.
A decision to establish a police dog training center at Mauje Gojubavi in Baramati taluka was also taken during the meeting.
