- Ruixiang Zhang, Assistant Professor of Mathematics at the University of California (Berkeley, USA) will be awarded the SATRA Ramanujan Award for 2023 for his outstanding contributions to mathematics.
- Dr. Zhang is a young mathematician whose fundamental work spans analytic number theory, combinatorics, Euclidean harmonic analysis, and geometry.
- The annual cash prize of US$10,000 will be presented at SASTRA University in Kumbakonam, the hometown of mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, during December 20 and 22. To be given at an international conference on the theory.
Sastra Ramanujan Award
- SASTRA Ramanujan Prize is awarded by the Shanmugh Academy of Arts, Science, Technology and Research (SASTRA), Kumbakonam since 2005.
- Inspired by Ramanujan’s achievements in his short life of 32 years, the age limit for the award has been set at 32 years.
