World Environmental Health Day is celebrated every year on 26 September.
It is celebrated to raise awareness about the impact of environmental health on human lives.
International Federation of Environmental Health (IFEH) founded World Environmental Health Day in 2011.
The day was founded to focus on the importance of caring for the health of our environment.
As per the World Health Organisation (WHO), healthier environments can be one of the key factors in preventing almost one-quarter of the global burden of diseases.
As per WHO, Global environmental issues account for more than 12.6 million deaths each year.
This year, World Environmental Health Day’s theme is “Global Environmental Public Health: Standing up to protect everyone’s Health each and every day.”
