Union Minister for Fisheries Animal Husbandry and Dairying Shri Parshottam Rupala chaired the one day National Conference on KCC for Fisheries in Mumbai Maharashtra.
Organized jointly by the Department of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry and Dairy Department, the program aims to deal with the grassroots issues in the fisheries sector.
Representatives from financial institutions like RBI and NABARD also attended the conference.
During the event, Minister Rupala distributed KCC cards to eligible fishermen.
Fisheries and aquaculture are important for food nutrition and employment that support 2.8 crore fishermen and fisherwomen.
