The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden has been included in the prestigious World Book of Records in London.
It is recognized as the largest tulip garden in Asia. The people of Kashmir have expressed happiness over this.
Nestled amidst the picturesque foothills of the Zabarwan mountain range, the garden houses 1.5 million flowers of 68 distinct tulip varieties.
Santosh Shukla, President and CEO, World Book of Records, handed over the certificate to Sheikh Fayaz Ahmed, Commissioner Secretary, Floriculture Gardens and Parks, at a formal ceremony held at Tulip Garden.
During this, Dilip N Pandit, Editor of World Book of Records, Director of Floriculture Kashmir was also present.
