- In a significant development towards enhancing the air travel experience in India’s Northeast region, Guwahati’s popular Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport has become the first airport in the region to launch the innovative Digi Travel facility.
- This state-of-the-art service is set to revolutionize the way passengers navigate through airports and provide a seamless and hassle-free journey.
- With the goal of modernizing air travel and streamlining airport processes, the DigiYatra initiative has been launched in collaboration with the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
A multidimensional change
- The Digi Yatra service will be available at three key areas within the airport: primary entrance, check-in counter and boarding area. Earlier, passengers often had to wait in long queues at the Guwahati airport, causing inconvenience and delays.
- With the introduction of the Digi Yatra facility, these long queues are expected to become a thing of the past, which will significantly reduce the time and effort required for check-in and security procedures.
