Madhya Pradesh’s Culture, Tourism and Religious Trust and Religious Affairs Minister Ms. Usha Thakur informed that the 100-year-old musical heritage Maihar Band will be revived in the state.
Based on the Guru-Shishya tradition, the Maihar Band will be operated as ‘Maihar Band Gurukul’.
The Gurukul will train 150 rare bandis of Baba Ustad Alauddin Khan. Trainees will be able to get training in all the instruments used in Maihar orchestra in the Gurukul run in Maihar Music College Building Maihar.
